Membership today

Blunderzone currently uses three membership tiers in the app: Free, Basic, and Premium. The product UI for membership and billing already exists, but checkout is still marked as coming soon.

What each tier unlocks

Free

  • Start with one linked chess account during setup
  • Use the app and existing training modes without time limit
  • New puzzles from imported games are generated during the first 7 days
  • Reveal your secret passcode to reconnect another device later

Basic

  • Expanded daily training limits
  • Chess account management from settings
  • One linked account per server and streak pauses

Premium

  • Everything in Basic
  • Deep analysis on top of quick and normal analysis
  • Higher account limits per chess server

Current limits

Account limits are currently enforced per chess server:

Billing status

The app already shows subscribe buttons for Basic and Premium. Payment methods listed in the current product are Apple Pay and Google Pay, but the checkout flow is still marked as coming soon.

In other words: membership tiers are real and already shape analysis depth, account limits, and some training limits, while direct in-app payment is not finished yet.

Mistakes are there, waiting to be made.

Paid tiers are mainly about keeping more of your chess accounts in sync and pushing analysis deeper, not about changing the core idea of the product.
